Mitchell Grass Retreat

Project overview

Equivalent of five-star accommodation, the Mitchell Grass Retreat eco-lodges are a new type of attraction for the Queensland outback which is set to be a global hotspot for international tourists.

Photography cannot truly convey the experience of seeing an outback sunset and at the Mitchell Grass Retreat where visitors can enjoy the Longreach sunset and stars from their own private deck. The lodges feature luxury bathrooms, bedding and fixtures while running on solar power and reusing treated water for the gardens and landscaping.

With support of our Outback Tourism Infrastructure fund the new development includes:

• fifteen permanent eco-tents
• common areas for guests
• a heated pool
• climate controlled units
• fire pit with Gidgee coals.
