Lady Musgrave Island Pontoon

Project overview

A new 3 level pontoon at Lady Musgrave Island delivers a world-class ecotourism and educational experience featuring:

  • an underwater observatory
  • accommodation for up to 20 people in the underwater observatory and 16 in glamping tents on the upper deck
  • a dive and snorkelling platform
  • environmental data collection stations.

Officially opened in October 2021, the pontoon development will ensure the southern area of the Great Barrier Reef remains an attractive gateway for visitors.
