New centre an investment in Rockhampton’s future

The new Advanced Technology and Innovation Centre (ATIC) at CQUniversity is now complete and ready to deliver new opportunities in the Rockhampton region.

The Queensland Government invested $2.8 million in the ATIC to support industry and education in Central Queensland.

The new centre will focus on agtech, manufacturing innovations, engineering, communications technology and design.

Skills in these specialised fields are in high demand in regional Queensland.

The centre is open to the community, industry and schools to engage with contemporary technologies, and explore new career and business opportunities.

Specialised equipment in the new centre includes 3D printers, agtech sensors and satellite linked geographic imaging systems, computer-aided design, virtual reality equipment, crawler robots and robotic technology vital to the future of many industries.
